After six months, my very first project is finished! I started with exactly zero experience in game design, or coding, or drawing, or making music, or… no, i think that’s it.
Graphicswise a bit raw around the edges obviously, but i’m really happy overall, and i hope whoever tries it has some fun!
Still a a few bugs here and there: when the textboxes behave strange, just press space or the A Button (if you play with a controller) a few times and try not to mash too fast (seems like my code just can’t keep up with that).
Can you collect all your antimatter fuel and make it back home after your ship had a little incident?
Features:
– TwinStick controls (Mouse/Keyboard and Controller supported)
– Fast movement with quite a bit of inertia (you’re in space after all)
– 1 nicely sized Level
– Everything except some small code snippets handmade by me
– Comes with the usual: title screen, small intro, small outro and stuff
A few tips:
– It’s a bit on the harder side i would say. I mean even i still loose sometimes, but mostly because i got greedy.
– The ship moves faster than it seems. Slow and steady keeps your 3 HP together!
– Single, precise shots work better than rapid fire, at least for me.
Known Problems:
– Textboxes behave strange sometimes, especially at a special point during the intro (If you spam the space button, you can break the textbox a little bit, but not completely. Like i said above, just pressing space or the A Button on a 360 Controller a few times should help in that case.
– The mouse cursor when playing with mouse/keyboard sometimes interferes a little with the ‚quest arrow‘, but it’s nothing major.
I hope it’s good enough that you have some fun with it!
